BREWER — On Friday, June 19 at 11 a.m., the City of Brewer will sponsor a Juneteenth ceremony at Freedom Park (at the corner of State Street and North Main Street). Jim Varner, president of the Maine Human Rights Coalition will be at the event.

This will be the 22nd year that this event has taken place at Freedom Park. Each year, a ceremonial wreath has been placed at the park to commemorate the Juneteenth holiday.”
