BLUE HILL — Peninsula Pride invites the community to a full week of celebration beginning Saturday, June 20, with events spanning faith, art, music, and the annual Pride Festival and Parade in downtown Blue Hill. All events are free and all ages are welcome.

Saturday, June 20

The day opens with an Interfaith Service at St. Francis by the Sea Episcopal Church, 330 Hinckley Ridge Road (Route 177), Blue Hill, at 10:30 a.m. All ages welcome.

The annual Pride Festival begins at 11 a.m. in the First Congregational Church parking lot at 22 Tenney Hill. The festival features vendors, free food, music, dancing, arts and crafts and non-profit booths offering education and resources. Inside the Congregational Church, portraits from Americans Who Tell the Truth will be on display throughout the festival.

The Pride Parade steps off at 2 p.m. from the same location, traveling through downtown Blue Hill, looping at the post office parking lot and ending at Devil’s Half Acre for dancing and refreshments.

The celebration continues with the Pride Fest After Party at Devil’s Half Acre, 14 Mill St. All ages welcome, and paradegoers receive a discount on beverages. Rain day for festival and parade: June 27.

Monday, June 22

A Queer Art Lecture runs from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Blue Hill Public Library, co-sponsored by the library and Peninsula Pride.

Sunday, June 28

The week closes with the Second Annual All Ages Drag Party at the new Astro in Brooklin, 5 to 9 p.m. The event features live music from Old County Road, Hannah B. Designs pop-up, food and drink (all payment forms accepted), a glitter bar, a costume corner and more. All ages welcome.
