A grill fire destroyed a Hampden mobile home Sunday night.
The fire spread from a grill to the mobile home about 9 p.m. at Hampden Mobile Estates on Main Road North, according to Hampden Public Safety.
When they arrived, firefighters saw heavy flames consuming the mobile home.
All the occupants escaped safely, but firefighters needed to rescue a pet in a carrier on the porch. The other pets inside escaped on their own.
Firefighters kept the fire contained to the mobile home and a shed, preventing damage to other homes within the community.
