Gov. Janet Mills boycotted Maine’s presence in its designated free booth at the on-going Great American State Fair in Washington, D.C. Gov. Mills, like several other New England governors, who I believe are narcissistic, apparently forgot the fair celebrated 250 years of American, and Maine history.

Mills’ decision not to participate was, I believe, based on their dislike for President Donald Trump, yet 45% of Mainers voted for Trump in 2024.

Fortunately, there are many intelligent, informed Mainers, some of whom I’m privileged to know and respect, who took over Maine’s booth and are now presenting Maine’s products and attractions in the positive way we deserve.
