Another former girlfriend of Democratic U.S. Senate nominee Graham Platner has come forward to allege nonconsensual sexual behavior.

Lyndsey Fifield told the Washington Post that Platner on multiple occasions would remove the condom she asked him to wear during sex because she was not on birth control.

“He would pull condoms off,” she told the Post. “He would do it in a sneaky way. He wouldn’t tell me.”

Fifield dated Platner from 2013 to 2015 and previously accused him of being rough with her physically in their relationship.

Her new allegation comes a day after another of Platner’s former girlfriends, Jenny Racicot, said he entered her house in 2021, drunk and uninvited, and raped her despite her protests.

Fifield told the Post off the record about the nonconsensual sex during a June 20 interview but decided to share her story publicly after Racicot came forward to show that she wasn’t the only one with whom Platner had shirked sexual consent, the paper said.

In the day since Racicot’s rape allegation was made public, Platner’s support has fallen off precipitously, as many of his strongest allies have called for him to step down, and leading Maine Democrats position themselves to take his place.
