Paintings by former President George W. Bush will be featured in a single-day show next month at the University of New England’s Biddeford campus.

The show, on Thursday, Aug. 6, is a benefit for St. Ann’s Episcopal Church in Kennebunkport “to repair and protect the historic buildings and grounds against future weather events,” the church said.

Bush started painting in 2012 after serving two terms as the 43rd president of the United States.

The exhibition will be held at the Harold Alfond Forum, University of New England, 630 Pool St., Biddeford, on Aug. 6 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Admission is $10 for adults, free for children under age 11. Timed-entry tickets are available for purchase here. Free on-site parking is available. No large bags, food or drink are permitted. The event is closed to the press.

Ethan Andrews is the night editor. He was formerly the managing editor at The Free Press and worked as a reporter for The Republican Journal and Pen Bay Pilot.
