A Bangor man allegedly fired a rifle at a woman in Bangor on Tuesday.

Stanley Swallow, 43, has been charged with elevated aggravated assault, aggravated reckless conduct, criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon, refusal to submit to arrest or detention, and violating his conditions of release, according to Katy England, a spokesperson for the Bangor Police Department.

Swallow allegedly shot at the woman several times during an altercation at his home on Sanford Street.

The woman wasn’t shot but did suffer other minor injuries during her flight.

Swallow was arrested Tuesday evening and a search warrant was executed at his home, England said Wednesday afternoon.

He was taken to the Penobscot County Jail, where he remained Wednesday afternoon, according to the jail’s website.

Sanford Street runs between Warren and Union streets.
