On Thursday morning, 11,803 homes and businesses were without power across Versant Power’s service area in northern Maine.

Towns such as Allagash, Frenchville and Grand Isle were completely down, according to outage maps.

By late morning, service to 8,000 customers had already been restored, according to Carolina Rave, a Versant spokesperson.

Power was interrupted on New Brunswick power equipment, which affected Versant Power customers. The outage remains under investigation, she said.
