ORRINGTON — The Orrington Old Home Week Committee is excited to invite residents, former residents and visitors to join in the celebration of Orrington Old Home Week 2026, taking place July 10–19.
This year’s theme, “Unearth Orrington’s Story: Memories, Milestones and More”, celebrates the rich history, cherished traditions and community spirit that make Orrington a special place to call home.
The week-long festival offers activities and events for all ages, including community gatherings, family-friendly entertainment, contests, fundraisers and opportunities to reconnect with neighbors and friends.
Highlights of Old Home Week 2026 include:
• Kickoff Concert featuring Twisted Swing Big Band on Friday, July 10 at the Center Drive School Gymnasium, including the announcement of the Citizen of the Year.
• Town-Wide Yard Sale Weekend throughout Orrington.
• Orrington Public Library Vendor Fair featuring more than 35 local artisans, crafters, authors and food vendors on Saturday, July 11.
• Art Auction showcasing creatively decorated step stools by local artists. • Photography Contest hosted in partnership with the Eastern Maine Camera Club. • Painted Rock Adventure with hidden golden rocks and prizes throughout town. • Read with a Hero Day for families and children.
• House Decorating Contest encouraging residents to show their community spirit.
• Fire Department Pancake Breakfast and many additional activities throughout the week.
Old Home Week is made possible through the dedication of volunteers, local businesses, sponsors, community organizations and residents who work together each year to create a memorable celebration.
“We are excited to bring the community together once again to celebrate our town’s history, accomplishments, and the people who make Orrington such a wonderful place to live,” Kelly Brooks, chair of the Orrington Old Home Week Committee, said. “Whether you’ve lived here your entire life or are visiting for the first time, we invite everyone to join us as we unearth Orrington’s story.”
