The 12 homes in Bangor that changed hands during the week of June 21 had an average sale price of nearly $368,000.

That’s roughly $50,000 more than the median sale price of a Bangor home as of May, which Redfin placed just under $315,000. The most expensive residential property sale from the week of June 21 topped out at $780,000 — more than double the median price for a home in the Queen City.

More residential properties in Bangor sold from June 21 to 27 than in the prior three weeks, pointing to how the state’s housing inventory has buoyed this summer, as is typical in Maine. This gives buyers more options and creates a less frantic market than Maine saw in previous years, said Dana Whitney of Legacy Properties Sotheby’s International Realty.

“For sellers, well-prepared and properly priced properties continue to attract significant interest and achieve strong results,” Whitney said in a statement released Wednesday.
