The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for help locating a 36-year-old Eddington woman wanted in connection with an infant overdose in May.

Brittany Wood has an active arrest warrant for domestic violence aggravated assault, a Class B felony, and endangering the welfare of a child, a Class D misdemeanor, the sheriff’s office said. The charges stem from a May 31 incident in which an infant overdosed on drugs in Eddington.

Former board member Linda Graban confirmed Saturday that Wood is a member of the RSU 63 school board.

Investigators say Wood and her attorney have been informed of the warrant but she has not turned herself in.

Anyone with information on Wood’s whereabouts is asked to call the Penobscot Regional Communications Center at 207-947-4585.
