BOOTHBAY HARBOR – Celebrate America’s 250th birthday with an unforgettable evening on Friday, July 18, as Boothbay Harbor hosts what organizers are calling the largest drone show ever presented in the State of Maine.

Beginning at 9:30 p.m., hundreds of synchronized drones will illuminate the night sky with patriotic images honoring the nation’s 250th anniversary. The spectacular 15– to 17-minute aerial performance will be visible throughout the harbor area, including from the footbridge, as the drones soar to heights of approximately 400 feet.

Adding to the festive atmosphere, the Tall Ship Lynx and Maine’s schooner Bowdoin will join the celebration in the harbor. The evening will also feature music from local favorites including Danny Beal, Mark Stover and Holy Mackerels, Bob Bua, Tim Sprague and Murky Waters Band, culminating with a live performance of the National Anthem by Suzie Edwards.

For public safety, McKown Point at DMR will close to the public beginning at 4 p.m. Visitors are encouraged to arrive early, explore the waterfront and enjoy one of Maine’s most memorable celebrations of America’s 250th birthday.

This one-of-a-kind event promises to be a highlight of the summer and a patriotic experience for residents and visitors alike.
