Sally Christner was selected Maine County Official of July in honor of her community service by Spirit of America Foundation’s Maine Chapter.
Christner has served three terms as a commissioner of Androscoggin County, including some years as commission chair.
Over the past 40-plus years Christner has done so many things to help her Calvary Baptist Church, including with its community outreach activities.
Christner is the K-4 and K-5 teacher at Calvary Christian Academy, a school training the next generation for Christian service with minds geared toward leadership. A very conscientious person, she puts her heart into teaching foundational skills to the children as in everything else she does.
She is a long-time volunteer for Make-A-Wish-Foundation.
Christner has played a key role in several Androscoggin County Spirit of America events and been helpful to the cause of volunteerism in other ways over the years.
Maine Spirit of America is a chapter of Spirit of America Foundation, an organization promoting community service.
