The Newport phenoms, Cooper and Ace Flagg, are hosting a youth basketball camp next month.
It’s the third year in a row that the Flagg brothers are hosting the event at the University of Maine in Orono.
The camp, organized by ProCamps, will be held at the Memorial Gym on Aug. 15-16, with a morning session from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. and an afternoon session from 2-5 p.m. It’s open to kids ages 6-13. Registration costs $249 before fees.
Participants will get a camp photo with the Flagg brothers and a limited edition T-shirt.
Ace Flagg plays for the UMaine men’s basketball team, while Cooper Flagg plays for the Dallas Mavericks and just came off a stellar rookie season with the NBA team.
Cooper Flagg averaged 21 points per game, the most for any rookie; became the youngest player to score 50 points in a single NBA game; and is the second-youngest to score 1,000 points.
The top draft pick ahead of last season, Flagg went on to become the second-youngest Rookie of the Year, behind only Lebron James.
