Southern Maine’s only free, family- and dog-friendly festival — and AWS’ largest annual fundraiser — supports adoption, veterinary care and pet food assistance across the community.
KENNEBUNK – Animal Welfare Society will host its annual Woofstock Festival on Saturday, July 25 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the AWS grounds, 46 Holland Road. The free, family- and dog-friendly event is held rain or shine and draws thousands of attendees and their pups each year. A $5 donation per person is suggested to support AWS’ mission.
“Woofstock is really a celebration of this community and everyone in it who cares about animals,” Heidi Marston, executive director of Animal Welfare Society, said. “Every food truck, every beer poured, every dog on that agility course supports our mission of helping pets and their families thrive together.”
Woofstock offers something for everyone and every pup:
Food & drink: More than a dozen food trucks and carts, from seafood and burgers to sweets and coffee
Beer Garden: 4-ounce tastings from over a dozen local breweries and craft beverages ($10 for three tickets); proceeds go directly toward pet veterinary care at AWS
Live entertainment throughout the afternoon
Youth tent: Crafts, games, temporary tattoos, face painting and a bounce house
Dog agility course: Indoor, air-conditioned, staffed by certified AWS trainers, open to pups of all experience levels
Maker, craft and vendor booths, including local pet services and veterinary professionals
Giveaways throughout the festival grounds
Pet-friendly shuttles return
Admission and parking are free. To ease congestion on Holland Road, dog-friendly shuttle buses, sponsored by Kennebunk Savings, will run continuously between the festival and two satellite parking lots:
– Kennebunk Elementary School, 177 Alewive Park Road, Kennebunk
– Middle School of the Kennebunks, 60 Thompson Road, Kennebunk
Limited on-site parking is available for attendees with disability plates or placards.
Now in its 7th year, Woofstock is presented by Animal Welfare Society with media support from The GOAT 104.3, formerly Seacoast Oldies.
