A 38-year-old man from Waterville was arrested Saturday, July 25 for a strong-armed robbery of a man earlier in the month in Rockland.
Joshua Crawford (called a transient from Waterville) was arrested for Rockland Police by the Waterville Police Department and transported, with the assistance of the Knox County Sheriff’s Office, to the Knox County Holding Facility in Rockland.
Crawford was booked on the charges of felony robbery and aggravated assault, stemming from an investigation into a serious assault and theft of a wallet that occurred in Rockland earlier this month between Crawford and a man who had recently befriended him, according to Rockland Police in a news release.
Crawford is also wanted for his involvement in the theft of an electric scooter, and additional theft charges are expected, according to Rockland Police.
