State law enforcement agents arrested two people on Thursday after simultaneous raids of properties in two Washington County towns suspected of being sites of drug trafficking.
The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency with Maine State Police executed search warrants at 81 Wilson District Road in Harrington and 29 Campbell Hill Road in Cherryfield after what the MDEA described as “a month-long investigation, which included controlled purchases of methamphetamine” at both locations.
Agents found cocaine and other items consistent with drug trafficking, along with a 9mm handgun and $2,400 in suspected drug proceeds, the MDEA said.
Matthew Small, 47, of Hancock, who owns both properties, was arrested without incident and taken to Washington County Jail where he is being held without bail. He is charged with two counts of aggravated trafficking Schedule W drugs (methamphetamine) and violating conditions of release, according to the MDEA.
Marissa Oullette, 40, of Fort Kent, was arrested on a warrant for violating probation and taken to Washington County Jail. She was serving a two-year probation for a 2025 drug trafficking conviction, according to the MDEA.
