The 10 most expensive homes that changed hands last month are all in southern Maine.

With July over, we gathered information on the 10 most expensive residential property sales that took place across the state last month. The information comes from state transfer tax documents, which are available to the public online.

While the properties stretch from Ogunquit to Raymond, every home on the list is in Cumberland or York County.

The homes have an average sale price of about $3.5 million, but the most expensive sits on the Ogunquit coast, slightly north of Perkins Cove with Marginal Way just beyond its backyard.

— 46 Windward Shore Road in Raymond sold on July 9 for $4.5 million.

— 361 Cape Road in Raymond sold on July 17 for $3.9 million.

— 163 Island Beach Road in Wells sold on July 28 for $3.5 million.

— 52 Lester B Orcutt Blvd. in Biddeford sold on July 10 for $3.4 million.

— 508 West Main St. in Yarmouth sold on July 14 for $3 million.

— 675 Kings Highway in Kennebunkport sold on July 14 for $2.9 million.

— 20 Captains Way in Kittery sold on July 29 for $2.8 million.

— 103 Foreside Road in Cumberland sold on July 2 for $2.8 million.

— 442 Kings Highway in Kennebunkport sold on July 31 for $2.7 million.
