I met Nate Burnett on several occasions. One time stands out. A group of folks in the Kezar Falls area asked me, a retired organization and management professor, to chair a bipartisan discussion about reforms to our democracy. Nate had heard about it and took an immediate interest. He made important suggestions, understood the science, was the first to understand the social economics, and then he moderated a broader public discussion.
This and a few other times that I had the good fortune to chat with Burnett tell me that he is unusually capable, a man ideally suited for the Maine State Senate. I believe he has the talent, knowledge, energy, and level-headed psychology to do the job.
He also cares and is a good listener. For example, I think he understands that most folks of every background, at times, feel like they are strangers in their own land. As an elected official, he will understand them.
Additionally, Nate understands that in complex organizations, especially political organizations, collaboration with folks across the spectrum of opinions is critically important.
For these reasons, I am an enthusiastic supporter of Nate Burnett for Maine state Senate.
