A Waterville man drowned in a New Hampshire lake early Saturday morning.
Shawn Meader, 45, reportedly went into Ossipee Lake in Freedom about 2:55 a.m. to swim but went underwater and couldn’t be found, according to the New Hampshire State Police.
First responders and a dive team located Meader and attempted to revive him, but he died at the scene.
His death isn’t considered suspicious.
The investigation is ongoing.
