BANGOR – Furniture Gallery and 207 Wellness are inviting families from across the region to attend a Free Back-to-School Bash on Sunday, Aug.16, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Furniture Gallery, located at 614 Broadway in Bangor. The event will benefit Penquis’ We’ve Got Your Back backpack and school supply program, helping local children prepare for a successful school year.
The community-wide event will offer something for everyone, including live music from MIX Maine Media, a bounce house, dunk tank, face painting, games and activities, music, raffles, prizes, community information booths, shopping opportunities, food vendors and family-friendly fun throughout the day. Attendees will also have the opportunity to donate school supplies that will be distributed through Penquis’ We’ve Got Your Back program.
Food vendors scheduled to participate include Mainly Taco, Rizza’s Kitchen, Bumpy’s Kettle Corn, Brick and Embers, McFee Concession and the Girl Scouts. Community organizations and local businesses will also be on hand with information, activities and items for sale. The event is designed to bring the community together while supporting local children and families.

Throughout the day, visitors will be able to enjoy free activities while learning more about local services and organizations. A special donation presentation benefiting We’ve Got Your Back will take place during the event, highlighting the impact that local businesses and community members can make when they come together around a shared cause.
Penquis’ We’ve Got Your Back program provides backpacks and school supplies to children throughout the region. Rising costs can create barriers for families preparing for a new school year, and community support helps ensure students have the tools they need to participate fully in the classroom.
All proceeds raised through event activities, raffles, and donations will benefit Penquis’ We’ve Got Your Back program.
