Ellsworth has issued a boil water order after a Tuesday afternoon pipe break.
That order was issued early Wednesday morning after a water main broke on Bridge Hill.
Residents living on the following streets must boil their water for at least 5 minutes before drinking, making ice, washing or preparing food, or brushing their teeth:
— Grant Street
— Liberty Street
— Chapel Street
— Willow Street
— Youngs Avenue
— Bucksport Road from Court Street to Chapel Street
— Laurel Street
— Upper South Street
— Maple Street
As of 9 a.m. Wednesday, the water main was been repaired, but the boil water order remains in place until further notice.
