A 19-year-old Lebanon man was arrested early Saturday after allegedly pulling alongside another vehicle on Route 202 and firing several rounds into it, according to the York County Sheriff’s Office.

The shooting was reported at approximately 2 a.m., when a driver told deputies that a black sedan pulled next to his vehicle and fired several rounds into his car. He said two rounds struck his car — one piercing the driver’s side door and another hitting a tire, disabling the vehicle.

The driver was not injured in the shooting.

Deputies identified a suspect and vehicle and put out a bulletin to local departments. At approximately 4:40 a.m., a Sanford police officer spotted the vehicle at a business in Sanford.

Zachary Shaw was arrested and charged with reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon and criminal mischief. A firearm was found in the vehicle, which was seized along with the weapon.

Shaw was taken to York County Jail, where bail was set at $25,000 cash. He is scheduled to appear in York Judicial Center in Biddeford on Monday. Police said more charges are possible as the investigation continues.
