The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 37-year-old woman on drug and firearm charges after conducting a probation search of an RV at a business in Hermon.
Kristina Andrews, a transient, was on probation for unlawful trafficking of scheduled drugs and subject to searches as part of her conditions, according to the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office.
During the search Friday night, deputies found two locked safes they believed contained evidence of drug trafficking, but Andrews and another person there wouldn’t provide the combinations.
On Monday, after sheriff deputies were granted a search warrant, they forced the safes open with the help of the Bangor Fire Department and found a combined 150 grams of fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine and MDMA. They also seized a handgun, a realistic-looking BB gun and approximately $3,500 in cash believed to be proceeds of drug trafficking.
Andrews was arrested and charged with aggravated unlawful trafficking of schedule W drugs, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person and unlawful possession of schedule W drugs.
The sheriff’s office said additional arrests are expected.
