A woman was killed Monday night in a hit-and-run in Portland.
The driver of a dark-colored truck hit the 57-year-old about 9:18 p.m. as she crossed Forest Avenue, according to Brad Nadeau, a spokesperson for the Portland Police Department.
The driver fled down Forest Avenue into the heart of Portland.
Nadeau said Tuesday morning that the victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification of her family.
The crash remains under investigation.
