A man who had five bottles of tequila allegedly threatened to kill a woman in front of Bangor police officers Monday night.

Alfred Barron, 28, was charged with terrorizing and violating his conditions of release, according to Katy England, a spokesperson for the Bangor Police Department.

A woman who spoke to police from her Sanford Street apartment window told officers about 10 p.m. that Barron was outside her home and wanted him to leave, England said Wednesday morning.

Officers found Barron inside with five bottles of tequila.

As he accompanied them outside, Barron allegedly threatened to kill the woman as she spoke to police again from her window.

He was arrested and taken to the Penobscot County Jail, where he remained Wednesday morning, according to the jail’s website.
