In a recent letter to the editor, Catherine Cooper mentions a multitude of things that she thinks Bobby Charles will do if elected as Maine’s next governor. Many of those things most of us would like such as: lower cost of living, lower tax burden, more affordable energy, and on and on.
I think Bobby Charles walks in the footsteps of Donald Trump. Trump has not been successful in doing those things although he said that he would. A few examples are lowering prices on day one once in office. Didn’t happen! He would stop the Russian war in Ukraine with one phone call to Vladimir Putin. Didn’t happen. Lowering fuel prices. Didn’t happen.
I would like to know exactly how Bobbie Charles would do all the things that Cooper says he will do. Not just sound bites, actually how he would do it. Wishing something would happen does not make it happen.
Many were fooled by Trump twice — once in 2016 and again in 2024. Don’t be fooled again by others who think like Trump! We don’t need more foolish spending and a more bleak energy future.
