A York motorcyclist died Tuesday morning after he crashed into a turning vehicle the day before.
The 27-year-old was riding a motorcycle south on Route 1 in York about 3:32 p.m. Monday when he passed a stopped vehicle at the intersection with Mountain Road, according to the York Police Department.
The motorcyclist then crashed into a vehicle turning onto Mountain Road from the northbound side of Route 1.
The motorcyclist was taken to Portsmouth Regional Hospital in New Hampshire, where he succumbed to his injuries Tuesday morning.
The other vehicle’s driver, a 26-year-old York man, wasn’t injured.
The New Hampshire medical examiner will perform an autopsy to determine the motorcyclist’s cause and manner of death.
The crash remains under investigation.
