An autographed Cooper Flagg rookie card just sold for more than $8 million.
That card, a 2026 Topps Chrome Updates NBA draft Debut Patch, was sold during an auction that ended early Friday morning, according to The Athletic.
The price tag, $8.04 million, makes it the fifth most expensive sports card sale ever, just edging out a Honus Wagner card that sold four years ago for $7.25 million, The Athletic reported.
It trails only cards featuring Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant and Mickey Mantle, among others.
Flagg averaged 21 points per game, the most for any rookie; became the youngest player to score 50 points in a single NBA game; and is the second-youngest to score 1,000 points.
The top draft pick ahead of last season, Flagg went on to become the second-youngest Rookie of the Year, behind only Lebron James.
He opened a trading card shop in downtown Bangor earlier this month.
