A woman died Wednesday evening after a collision in Plymouth.
A 67-year-old man was driving a sedan east on Moosehead Trail about 6:39 p.m. when he collided with a westbound pickup truck driven by a 69-year-old man, according to the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office.
The crash sent both vehicles off the road and into Plymouth Pond, the sheriff’s office said.
The sedan’s driver was taken to the hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries. His passenger, a 68-year-old woman, succumbed to her injuries at the hospital.
The pickup truck’s driver was taken to the hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.
The crash remains under investigation.
