I have tremendous respect for Bill Cohen and am grateful for his work on behalf of Maine and the United States. In his most recent column however, I believe he misrepresents Susan Collin’s voting record.

She may have been bipartisan during her five terms in office, however she voted with President Donald Trump 90% during his first term, and in 2025 she voted with Trump 95% of the time. When she voted against him, for instance the confirmation of Pete Hegseth and Kash Patel, the Republicans had enough votes, and it appears they allowed her to cast a nay vote.

Bill Cohen has great integrity; I think Susan Collins does not. A vote for Collins is a vote for Trump.
