The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency and Bangor police have arrested two people in Bangor for allegedly trafficking crack cocaine and fentanyl.

State and local agents executed a search warrant Thursday morning at 73 First St. based on a month-long investigation into drug trafficking there, which included undercover purchases, according to the MDEA.

Agents found and seized 65 grams of cocaine base (crack), 9.8 grams of fentanyl and $4,630 in suspected drug proceeds, according to the agency, who valued the drugs at $7,000.

Morgan McNealy, 23, of Bangor, and Anthony Diaz, 21, of Malden, Massachusetts, were arrested without incident at the residence and taken to Penobscot County Jail, the agency said.

McNeally was charged with two counts of Class A aggravated trafficking Schedule W drugs. Diaz was charged with three counts of Class A aggravated trafficking Schedule W drugs.

The MDEA said it expects more arrests and charges based on the investigation.
