Someone vandalized a Winn hayfield this month.
The vandals drove a vehicle onto the hayfield on or before Oct. 8, the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife said Wednesday.
The landowner has spent $30,000 preparing the fields for next year’s crop.
The landowner has allowed public access to more than 1,000 acres, but the department warned that the vandals could jeopardize that.
