I think the past two years of total federal government control by the Republican Party has been an unmitigated disaster. There is so much instability, chaos, corruption and lying, that our 250-year-old democratic republic has been turned on its ear. It is astounding — and shocking — to me that the Republican Party has allowed our beloved country and its citizens to be reduced to such a low level.
People are struggling to make ends meet, we are in an unwanted, unnecessary war, we are ignoring our allies and courting our enemies, the rule of law has been ignored, and the Constitution has been trampled on at the behest of the president. These are disturbing and difficult times and I think many Americans wonder what is going on.
Have Republicans really not meant anything they say? Where is their supposed support for the rule of law and the U.S, Constitution? What about fiscal responsibility, foreign policy, protecting the country from enemies here and abroad? Republicans claim to have championed these issues, but I don’t think we, the people, are seeing it now.
It has been said that doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results is a form of insanity. Let’s reclaim our county, our democracy, our dignity, our sanity. Vote out the malefactors and restore the country to its former greatness. I believe not one single Republican in Congress deserves our vote.
