Three of the seven Bangor homes that changed hands during the week of Sept. 20 had sale prices of just $1 or less.
The homes that sold for more than $1 that week had an average price of slightly less than $250,000. That’s well below the median sale price for Bangor properties, which Zillow placed at nearly $295,000 last month.
The seven property sales also mark a decline from the prior week when nearly a dozen Bangor homes sold. This could signal property sales slowing as the weather grows colder, as is typical in Maine, which usually sees the highest real estate activity during the summer.
The Bangor Daily News assembled a list of all the residential property sales that occurred in Bangor from Sept. 20 to 26 using information from state transfer tax documents, which are available to the public online.
