THOMASTON – Watts Hall Community Arts is proud to share that the Dot Jameson & Lucy Mayo Memorial Bean Supper, held on Oct. 10, raised $1,430 for the Thomaston Inter-Church Fellowship Food Pantry.
Watts Hall Community Arts Board members Daryl Hahn and Cathy Harn and Managing Director Kendray Rodriguez presented the donation to Food Pantry manager Roberta Carmichael and volunteer Judy Hastings on Tuesday, Oct. 27. The total came from a combination of admission fees and additional donations from attendees.
The supper honored the legacies of Dot Jameson and Lucy Mayo, two longtime members of the community who shared a love of cooking and a tradition of making baked beans.
Watts Hall Community Arts extends its thanks to everyone who attended and contributed to the supper. Community members who would like to support the Thomaston Inter-Church Fellowship Food Pantry are encouraged to drop off donations of peanut butter or breakfast cereal, which are the pantry’s current biggest needs, to the Thomaston Municipal Building, 13 Valley St.
