Bangor police on Monday arrested a man who allegedly hit a man in the face with a compound bow.

The alleged assault was reported on Sunday around 8:30 p.m. Police found the victim with “significant, but not life-threatening” injuries to his face.

The officers determined that another man, later identified as Scott Talbot, 55, of Bangor, had come over to sell a compound bow and allegedly struck the man in the face with the end of the weapon.

The victim was taken to a hospital and treated, police said.

Police were unable to find Talbot that day, but found him on Monday along with the bow.

Talbot is charged with aggravated assault with a dangerous weapon.
