A Corinna man allegedly sexually exploited a child online.

Douglas Moody, 25, has been charged with sexual exploitation of a minor and possession of sexually explicit material, according to the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office.

Moody allegedly exploited the child, whose age wasn’t provided, through a gaming application for kids. That came to the attention of the sheriff’s office on April 3. As the investigation proceeded, the sheriff’s office learned of other victims throughout the United States, with the alleged offenses happening over several months, the sheriff’s office said Thursday afternoon.

Moody was on probation and on the Maine Sex Offender Registry for similar offenses dating back to 2024.

He was charged Tuesday in this new case.

Moody was taken to the Penobscot County Jail in Bangor, where he remained Thursday afternoon, according to the jail’s website.
