Funding woes stall expansion of overcrowded Caribou jail

Every town in central and northern Aroostook uses Caribou’s aging holding facility, which has inadequate storage and leaking water problems.

The bridge linking to Edmundston will be closed to traffic from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. starting Monday.
