Maine is due for a couple of days of unsettled weather in the wake of heavy rain and thunderstorms.

The rainfall Thursday was heavy enough to cause street flooding on several roadways in the Biddeford and Saco areas. The National Weather Service reported areas receiving 1 to 2 inches of rain per hour, as well as hail in some locations.

John Cannon of the weather service office in Gray says the thunderstorms are gone, but the threat of rain will linger in Maine for the next few days.
