ISLESBORO – Hilda F. Addenbrook, 94, died Saturday, Aug. 9, 2008, at Full Circle Farm Eldercare, Union. Born May 14, 1914, in Islesboro, she was the daughter of Wilbur P. and Rebecca E. (Dodge) Fairfield. She was a 1932 graduate of Islesboro Central School and attended Husson College. She married Douglas Gould Lillie in 1942. They lived in Lincoln, Mass., before retiring to Lighthouse Point, Fla., in 1960. Doug died from cancer in 1962. She married William M. Addenbrook in 1966. She was on the North Broward County Hospital Auxillary Board for more than 25 years, working in the Coral Door Thrift Shop, which was the fund raising arm for the hospital. While in Lighthouse Point, Fla., she was a member of Lighthouse Point Yacht and Tennis Club and Corinthian Yacht Club. Bill and Hilda moved full time to Islesboro in 1990. She loved picking blueberries in her surrounding fields and also loved working in her flower and vegetable gardens. She had been a member of Tarrantine Yacht Club, Dark Harbor for more than 20 years. She volunteered on the Islesboro Health Center Advisory Board, Islesboro Community Fund, Islesboro Historical Society and Friends of the Alice Pendleton Library. Surviving are her daughter, Joan Lillie; her son, Raymond D. Lillie and his wife, Renee, all of Islesboro; a brother-in-law, Eugune Plankey of Roanoke, Va. She was predeceased by her first husband, Douglas Gould Lillie in 1962; her second husband, William M. Addenbrook in 1995; and her sister, Pauline Fairfield Plankey. In keeping with her wishes, there are no services planned. Memorial donations may be made to Islesboro Health Center or Islesboro Community Fund.
