SHERMAN – Tracy Lee Lane, 49, passed away Aug. 17, 2008, surrounded by her loving family, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Aug. 14, 1959, in Island Falls, the daughter of Delmont and Lorraine (Gallager) Caldwell. Tracy graduated from Katahdin High School in 1977 and went on to live her life as desired. She worked every day in the area she grew up in for many local people, whom she cared for and cherished deeply. She had a heart of gold and touched many people in her own special way. If there was ever a time anyone needed anything or if anything was ever asked of her she always went above and beyond. Two important things she instilled in her children were manners and remembering all special and non-special occasions, and that it was important to do something as little as send a card or maybe even something bigger. She is survived by her loving husband of 29 years, Terry Lane of Sherman; her sons and daughter, Chris and Melissa Lane of Farmingdale, Glenn and Rebecca Lane of Hampden, Travis and Amanda Lane of Monroe and Angel Lane of Alton; seven grandchildren, whom she adored, Jamie Lynn, Halley, Nick John, Josh, Jake, Brandon and Falyn; her brother, Tim Caldwell and his wife, Rose, of Orono; sisters, Beth of Sherman and Lynn of Millinocket; two cats, Bootsie and Mittens; as well as many other friends and relatives. The family would like to recognize special friends with many thanks, Derald Glidden and Stella Lane. In keeping with Tracy’s wishes there will be no funeral services, however family and friends are invited to call noon-3 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 21, at Terry and Tracy’s home, 302 Main St., Sherman. Due to her never-ending love for animals the family asks that donations, in lieu of flowers, be made in her memory to Houlton Humane Society, 263 Callaghan Road, Houlton, ME 04730.
