EARL E. HALLETT ROBINSON and FARMINGTON, Conn. – Earl Elbridge Hallett, 91, the beloved husband of Lucille (DiModugno) Hallett of Farmington, Conn., went to be with the Lord July 14, 2008. He was born in Blaine and was the youngest son of Dudley W. and Mary E. (Terrell) Hallett. He spent the early years of his life in Robinson before enlisting in the U.S. Navy. He made his home in Waterbury, Conn., for most of his life and moved to Farmington, Conn., in 2006. Earl was a veteran of World War II. He worked for the Waterbury Republican newspaper as a printer pressman for 37 years. He was an active 50-year member of Bunker Hill Congregational Church, Waterbury, Conn. He was an avid and accomplished golfer, and enjoyed the Boston Red Sox. Earl is survived by his wife of 62 years, Lucille; several nieces and nephews, including Lois J. (Hallett) Crawford of Mars Hill, Barbara J. (Hallett) Bridges of Presque Isle, Cheryl R. “Sherry” (Hallett) Pelletier of Fort Kent and Donald B. Hallett of Island Falls; many cousins, great-nieces and great-nephews. Earl was predeceased by his parents; infant brother, Ray D. Hallett; infant sister, Faye Hallett; his brother, Charles D. Hallett; and sister-in-law, Nellie W. Hallett. Memorial services were held July 26 at Bunker Hill Congregational Church, Waterbury, Conn. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Aug. 31 at Sanborn Cemetery, Blaine, with Pastor Lawrence Beals officiating.
