BRANSON, Mo. – Herman E. Thibodeau, 74, died at 9:50 p.m. Friday, Aug. 29, 2008, at the Mount Vernon Veterans’ Home, Mount Vernon, Mo. He was born Jan. 5, 1934, in Ashland, the son of Usebe Joseph and Rose Therieult Thibodeau. Herman was a retired carpenter and musician, and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He had been a resident of Branson, Mo., for the past 23 years. Surviving are his wife, Caroline Umphrey Thibodeau of Branson, Mo.; three sons, Joseph Thibodeau of Alpharetta, Ga., Robert Jr. of Brunswick, Ga., and Steven Bell of Cape Coral, Fla.; four daughters, Michelle York of Nashville, Tenn., Deborah Bruce of Lincoln, Neb., Gail Burtt of Washburn and Vickie Thibeau of Hochton, Ga.; two sisters, Lorene Hackett of Fort Kent and Shirley Gallagher of Bangor; and 15 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents; a son, John Herman “Chuck” Thibodeau; and one sister, Eunice Thibodeau. Memorial services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2, at Greenlawn Funeral Home, Branson, Mo., with Pastor Sam Kaunley officiating. Burial will be held at a later date at the Missouri Veterans’ Cemetery, Springfield, Mo. Arrangements are under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home, Branson, Mo.
