EARL M. WOTTON MONTICELLO – Earl M. Wotton, 67, died peacefully Aug. 31, 2008, at his home. He was born Sept. 2, 1940, in Houlton, the son of Maurice and Rena (London) Wotton. Earl’s family was everything to him; he was a devoted and caring husband, father, grandfather and brother. Earl grew up farming and hunting, and lived out a full and wonderful life on his family farm. He looked forward to fishing with his son and grandchildren on the farm each fall. His annual fishing trips with Garth, Darrel Hoyt and his friend, the late Carlton Brewer, were special times. He attended Lake Road Free Will Baptist Church and enjoyed time with his friends there. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Bonnie (Gillen) Wotton; his son, Ricky and wife, Karen, all of Monticello; his daughter, Robin and her husband, Todd Palmer, of Linneus; his granddaughters, Whitney Palmer and Corinne Wotton and her special friend, Lucas Nadeau; his grandsons, Josh-ua Wotton Palmer and Cody Wotton; his brother, Garth Wotton and his wife, Kelly; his sister, Beverly Harvey and her husband, Peter, all of Monticello; brother-in-law, Richard Gillen and his wife, Judy, of Blaine and mother-in-law, Ger-aldine Gillen; several nieces and nephews; extended Wotton family of Lincoln; a special family friend, Darren Lyons; and his loyal companion, Molly. He was predeceased by his parents; one brother, John Max; one daughter, Cindy Lou; and one daughter-in-law, Diane Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water St., Houlton. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at Lake Road Baptist Church, Monticello, with the Rev. Carl DeMerchant officiating. Interment will be at Jewell Cemetery, Monticello. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
