WILMER ‘BILL’ HENRY WEAVER MONROE – Wilmer “Bill” Henry Weaver, 84, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully in his sleep Sunday, Aug. 31, 2008. Bill was a member of Monroe Lodge No. 136 and Marsh River Lodge No. 102. Bill owned and operated Weaver’s Garage, Monroe, for close to 40 years. Weaver’s Garage came to be known as the local gathering for friends and family alike, with just the occasional deer story being told. Bill will be remembered as a hard worker, who was loved dearly by his family. He was always eager to help a friend in need. He enjoyed spending time with his family and was an outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish and garden. Bill is survived by his wife of 62 years, Kathryn; his children, Annette Carson and husband, Lloyd, James Weaver, Scott Weaver and Mary Dion; brother, Robert Weaver; his grandchildren, Wendy Weaver, Shannon Weaver, Ron Flewelling, Torrey Weaver, Matt and wife, Brooke Powers, Jessica Weaver and Ryan Weaver; and great-grandchildren, Summer Dawn Flewelling, Logan and Lydia Powers. In keeping with the wishes of the family, there will be no calling hours at the funeral home. Friends and family are invited to attend a celebration of his life 1-3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, at Monroe Lodge Hall.
