JEANNETTE F. ‘NAN’ DOUGLASS SEDGWICK – Jeannette F. “Nan” Douglass, 82, wife of the late Philip J. Douglass, passed away peacefully Sunday, Aug. 31, 2008, in Blue Hill. She was born June 1, 1926, in Sedgwick, the daughter of Frederick and Edna (Pert) Thompson. Nan enjoyed being at home, reading, watching cooking shows and tending her birds. She especially enjoyed spend-ing time with her family, who faithfully visited her every day. Nan is survived by four children, Judy Douglass of Brooklin, Danny Douglass and his wife, Deborah, of Sedgwick, Joy Chase and her husband, Charlie, of Brooksville and Christine Douglass of Sedgwick; a brother, Frederick Thompson and his wife, Pat, of Waldoboro; 12 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband and parents, Nan was predeceased by two brothers, Dan and Edwin “Boone” Douglas; a sister, Edie Sevon, and two grandchildren, Darrin Douglass and Melissa Gray.
