LEWIS H. LITTLEFIELD JR. WINTERPORT – Lewis H. Littlefield Jr., 85, passed away peacefully Aug. 29, 2008, surrounded by his family, at his farm in Winterport. A lifelong resident of Winterport, he was born there May 1, 1923, the son of Lewis H. Sr. and Rena A. (Patterson) Littlefield. Lewis was a graduate of Winterport High School. He married Sybil O. Toothaker, March 11, 1946, and had six children. He worked at E.G. Baker, Hampden, for 17 years and in 1967, he took over Littlefield Dairy Farm. Lewis worked the farm until he was 72. Lewis is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Sybil O. (Toothaker) Littlefield; two daughters, Coleen and husband, Clayton Rancourt, and Valerie and husband, Mike Donatelli; four sons, Gilman and wife, Geraldine Littlefield, Brian and wife, Bernadette Littlefield, Jeffery and wife, Susan Littlefield, all of Winterport, and Lewis Littlefield III and Tammy Thomas of Searsport; 12 grandchildren, Clayton, Dawn, Danielle, Jason, Trina, Katie, Travis, Kristen, Lacey, Dustin, Jessica and Matthew; six great-grand-children, Rachel, Eric, Alida, Brian, Madison and Kala; two sisters, Luena Nason of Prospect and Bernice Cook of Belfast; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two grand-daughters, Mindy and Ashley Perkins; one great-granddaughter, Leah Rancourt; and by three brothers, Darrill, Paul and Lester Littlefield. A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 5, at Pilgrim’s Home Cemetery, Monroe, with Pastor Chuck Langbein, of Ellingwoods Corner United Methodist Church, officiating.
