EROLD ‘GUS’ MADDEN JR. ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla., and BREWER – Erold “Gus” Madden Jr., 82, of Forest Lake Estates, Zephyrhills, Fla., passed away Friday, Aug. 29, 2008, at Hernando-Pasco Hospice, Dade City, Fla. He was born Aug. 14, 1926, in Milford, to Erold “Tom” and Hazel Madden Sr. Gus lived in Brewer, until his retirement from N.H. Bragg & Sons in 1990. At that time, he and Bev moved to Zephyrhills, Fla., where they have resided for the last 18 years. He was a World War II Navy veteran and a member of the VFW and Eagles. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Beverly T. Madden; his children, Thomas and his wife, Lisa, of Maryville, Tenn., Timothy and his wife, Linda, of Tampa, Fla., Alan and his wife, Connie, of Zephyrhills, Fla., and Gail and her husband, Tom Clukey, of Presque Isle; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 8, at Mount Hope Cemetery, Bangor. Friends and relatives are asked to meet 9:45 a.m. at the cemetery office. A reception will be held after the service at St. John’s Parish Hall, York Street, Bangor. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Hernando-Pasco Hospice, 37439 Clinton Ave., Dade City, FL 33525.
