FORT KENT – Adeline Jandreau, 91, died peacefully Feb. 28, 2005, at a Madawaska healthcare facility. She was born Jan. 10, 1914, in St. Francis, the daughter of Peter and Egline (Thibodeau) Jandreau. Adeline was a member of the Maine State Teachers Association and a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees. Adeline taught school for 27 years in the St. Francis school system and also worked for more than 23 years as a postal clerk in the St. Francis Post Office. She will be dearly missed by family and friends. She is survived by two brothers, Leon Jandreau of St. Francis, and Ned of Bristol, Conn.; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by one brother, Edgar; and a sister, Philippa. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. until the time of departure for St. Francis, at the Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday at the St. Charles Catholic Church in St. Francis, with the Rev. Claude Gendreau officiating. Spring burial will be in the parish cemetery, May 17, 2005.
